Shorewomen Await Word on Possible At-Large Bid For NCAA Tournament; Docktor Wins 100th Draw of Season to Become First WC Player to Achieve Milestone and Brenner Reaches 50-Goal Mark

LANCASTER, Pa. – #2 Gettysburg, the number two seed in the Centennial Conference Women's Lacrosse Tournament, raced out to a 7-0 lead on its way to a 17-8 win over #24 Washington College, the tournament's third seed, in the semifinal round of the tournament on Saturday afternoon on Tom Gilburg Field at Shadek Stadium on the campus of Franklin & Marshall College.  The Shorewomen fall to 12-6 and will await word on a possible at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament tomorrow evening with the selection show beginning at 9:30 p.m. on NCAA.com.  The Bullets improve to 16-1 overall and will face top seed and #4 Franklin & Marshall tomorrow afternoon in the final as F&M downed fifth-seeded Haverford 16-10 in the other semifinal.

How It Happened
- Following the game's first goal by Gettysburg's Bri Stokes just 2:11 into the game, Cecily Docktor won the draw and became the first Shorewoman to win 100 draw controls in a single-season.
- The Bullets scored the game's first seven goals to lead 7-0 with 16:36 remaining in the first half on a Liza Barr goal from Maria Nemeth.
- Washington got onto the board with 15:42 left in the first on an unassisted score by Aubrey Robinson.
- Down 9-1, the Shorewomen scored three times in 74 seconds to trim the lead to 9-4 with 3:29 left in the half on a tally from Anna Bennett with Lauren Brenner notching the helper.
- Gettysburg would score twice in the final 28 ticks of the first half to take an 11-4 lead into halftime with Barr scoring the last goal of the stanza with nine seconds left.
- Washington scored three of the first goals of the second half to cut the deficit to 12-7 with 21:09 left in the game on a Colleen Keefe free position tally.
- Brenner notched her 50th goal of the season with 10:52 left in the contest to reduce Gettysburg's lead to 15-8.  Brenner is the first WC player to score 50 in a season since Katherine Vincent '17 had 58 in 2017 and the eighth different Washington player to pump in 50 in a campaign.

For The #24 Shorewomen (12-6, CCT Third Seed)
- Scoring: Brenner (two goals and one assist), Bennett (one goal, two assists and four draw controls), Keefe and Robinson (two goals),
- In Goal: Isabella Richardson (60:00, nine saves, 17 goals)
- Kristy Grovom, Catherine Keirn, Emily Pantazes (three caused turnovers)
- WC went 20-for-22 in clears, went 1-for-3 in free position shots and had 12 ground balls.

For #2 Gettysburg (16-1, CCT Second Seed)
- Scoring: McKeever (three goals and one assist), Barr, Stokes and Courtney Patterson (three goals), Ella Orzechowski (two goals and two assists), Nemeth (two goals and assist)
- In Goal: Bailey Pilder (60:00, four saves, eight goals)
- Steph Colson (five caused turnovers and four ground balls) and Claire Macatee (seven draws)
- The Bullets went 20-for-20 in clears and had two more turnovers than WC, 16-14.
- Gettysburg went 3-for-4 in free position chances and won the draw controls, 16-11.
- The Bullets held a 31-21 shot margin in the game and notched 20 ground balls.

Notes
- Docktor won three draws and now has 101 on the season and 111 for her career.  She is now ninth all-time in draws at Washington. 
- With her two draws, Grovom moves into sole possession of seventh place in all-time draws at 117, passing Brittany Lambert '09, who won 115 career draws.
- By notching one caused turnover, Madison Schutz moves into third place tie for career caused turnovers with 95 as she moved past Betty Weller '03.
