Box Score CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The host Washington College women's tennis team was defeated by the Salisbury Sea Gulls, 8-1, inside the Johnson Fitness Center on Friday afternoon. The Shorewomen fell to 2-1 on the young season while the visitors improved to 5-1.

Doubles
- The Shorewomen picked up their lone victory of the match at the No. 2 doubles position. Alisha White and Cecilia Cress teamed up to defeat Jordan Schaefer and Laura Brown by a score of 8-3. Annika Kezman and Veronica Cuellar of Salisbury defeated Irene Meng and Ella Samer, 8-2, at the No. 1 doubles slot. Washington's No. 3 team of Marin Vander Schaaf and Riley Katzman fell to Sydney Soto and Katherine Tamesis, 8-3
Singles – Bin Nguyen dropped a tough three-set match against Soto at the No. 4 spot. Nguyen lost the first set by a score of 6-1 but responded with a 7-6 (10-8) win in the second set. Soto won a 7-6 (7-5) tiebreaker in the third set to win the match. Samer took a set from Brown at the No. 3 spot but fell 6-4, 2-6, 1-6. #1 Meng, No. 2 White, No. 5 Vander Schaaf and No. 6 Katzman all fell in straight sets.
