Box Score Bennett Notches Career-Highs in Assists, Points and Draws; Team Ties Mark for Most Free Position Goals in a Game
ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Lead host Muhlenberg 10-8 in the second half, visiting Washington College took control of the contest with a 7-0 run to register a 19-12 road win on Saturday afternoon at Scotty Wood Stadium in Centennial Conference women's lacrosse action. The Shorewomen improve to 4-3 overall and 3-2 in the conference, while the Mules are 1-4 in overall and Centennial play.

How It Happened
- Muhlenberg took its last lead of the afternoon, 6-5, with 14:23 left in the first half on an unassisted goal by Taliah Carson.
- Sydney Allender would answer 51 seconds later to tie it at 6-6 from Olivia Miller and Miller would put the Shorewomen ahead for good at 7-6 with 11:39 to go in the opening half on a pass from Anna Bennett in an up situation.
- Morgan Sutherland made it 8-6 with 7:34 left in the half and Bennett capped the first half scoring with 4:15 left to make it 9-6 at halftime. Both goals on the free position.
- Colleen Keefe scored Washington's fifth straight goal to open the second half scoring 3:05 in to make it 10-6 and that was also a free position tally.
- The Mules netted two goals in 25 seconds to trim the lead to 10-8 with 25:11 remaining on an Emily Gaffney goal from Carson. Samantha Eynon cashed in on a free position 25 ticks earlier to end the WC run.
- Abby Laubach began the decisive 7-0 run for the Shorewomen with 22:18 left on a free position and then scored the next goal with 18:53 to go on a pass from Bennett to make it 12-8 for the guests. Bennett, who had three helpers during the run, found Miller with 12:29 to go in the contest to cap the run and give WC a 17-8 cushion.
- Muhlenberg scored four of the final six goals of the contest to provide the final margin.
For The Shorewomen (4-3, 3-2 CC)
- Scoring: Bennett (career-highs of five assists and eight points; three goals), Miller (three goals and one assist), Allender (career-topping three goals; one assist), Keefe (three goals), Ellie Morrall and Laubach (two goals and assist), Sutherland (two goals), Ashley Devlin (two assists)
- In Goal: Sydney Wingate (60:00, four saves, 12 goals)
- Bennett (career-topping 10 draw controls), Laubach (six ground balls to set personal-high)
- The Shorewomen outshot the hosts 42-22, won 21 of the game's 33 draw controls and had eight caused turnovers.
- WC went 13-for-13 in clears, went 7-for-11 in free position shots and picked up 20 ground balls.

- The Mules went 13-for-20 in clears and had three more turnovers than WC, 20-17.
- Muhlenberg went 3-for-4 in free position chances, totaled 12 ground balls and recorded eight caused turnovers.
Notes
- The team's seven free position goals tied the program record as the Shorewomen also scored seven against St. Mary's (Md.) on March 20, 2017.
- Bennett is the second WC player to win 10 or more draws in a single game this season as Laubach won 11 at Ursinus on April 3.
- With her 10 draws, Bennett moved up to third all-time in program history with 154 career draw controls. She passed Katherine Vincent '17 (148) and Janet Studdiford '04 (153) this afternoon.
- In three conference road games this season where they went 3-0, the Shorewomen outscored their opponents, 54-15.
