COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Visiting Washington College scored a goal in each half in a 2-0 win over host Ursinus on Saturday afternoon at Patterson Field in a Centennial Conference men's soccer contest. The Shoremen improve to 3-3-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the Centennial with a two-game winning streak in CC play, while the Bears are now 1-6-2 and 0-4-0 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen were awarded a penalty kick at the 9:01 mark when
Eric Gwadz was fouled in the box by an Ursinus defender.
Ben Strine put the kick into the left side of the goal past a diving Kirk Ransome to make it 1-0 and that would be the halftime score.
- The score remained 1-0 until the 61st minute when on a quick restart
Cole Gifford found a cutting
Ben Horgan who split the defense of the Bears and his shot from the top of the box found the lower right corner for the insurance score.
- Ursinus had a chance with 21:27 to go to get on the board with a penalty kick, but WC goalkeeper
Anthony Pinto stopped
Nate Berger's try with a diving save to his left to keep it a two-goal game. The Bears would have one more shot on goal the rest of the way, but did not score.
