Washington Outshoots Ursinus 18-4

CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College outshot visiting Ursinus by an 18-4 margin, but neither side could dent the scoreboard in a 0-0 tie on Saturday evening on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in Centennial Conference women's soccer action.  The Shorewomen are now 4-1-4 overall and 1-0-3 in the Centennial, while the Bears are 4-3-2 overall and 1-2-1 in the conference.

How It Happened
- Lauren Maynor had the Shorewomen's best chance in the 21st minute as her shot was tipped by Bears' goalie Kaela Frenchman off the crossbar and was then cleared by the Ursinus defense.
- Ursinus' Alicia Page gave the Bears their best chance to score just over a minute later in the 22nd minute, but her shot was turned away by Washington goalie Hailey Sharpe.
- The Shorewomen's Ellen Daly had the last shot on goal in the first half for either team with 6:21 remaining, but it was saved.
- In the second half, Maynor had Washington's final shot with 11:35 to go in the contest, but Frenchman made the stop.
- Ursinus had the last shot of the game with 8:32 to go in the game, but the chance by Grace Senese went wide to the left.  The Bears got a corner kick off the shot due to the shot going off of a WC player, but could not generate a shot.

For The Shorewomen (4-1-4, 1-0-3 CC)
- Scorers: None
- Goalkeepers: Sharpe (2 saves, 0 goals allowed, 90:00) 
- Totaled 18 shots and four corner kicks for the match. 

For Ursinus (4-3-2, 1-2-1 CC)
- Scorers: None
- Goalkeeper: Frenchman (12 saves, 0 goals allowed, 90:00)
- Took four shots and one corner kick in the contest.

Notes
- Washington extends its unbeaten streak against Ursinus to three games with a 2-0-1 mark.  The Shorewomen won 1-0 in 2019 and 2-1 in 2021.
