CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College and visiting Gettysburg were locked into a shooting contest with 29 total shots being taken in a 1-1 tie on Saturday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in Centennial Conference women's soccer action. The Shorewomen managed to put five on goal, capitalizing on one in the first half while the Bullets placed seven shots on goal and were able to score the equalizer in the second half. The tie moves Washington to 4-3-5 overall and 1-2-4 in Centennial play, while the Bullets move to 4-6-3 overall and 2-3-2 in the conference.

How It Happened

Maddy Gaydon put the Shorewomen on the board first in the 42nd minute with her third goal of the season as she beat the defender following the pass from
Ellen Daly and put it bottom left to beat Gettysburg's keeper,
Caitlin Amman.
- The Bullets closed out the half with a scoring chance as
Zoe Want took a header, forcing
Hailey Sharpe to make a save.
- Gettysburg continued the momentum into the second half as
Jalia Musah equalized the game for the Bullets in the 58th minute following an assist from
Jane Daiutolo for her third goal of the season.
- Daly had a chance to put the Shorewomen up in the 82nd minute as her shot looked destined for the upper left 90 but ended up going just high of the goal.
- Gettysburg would end up taking the last couple of shots in the contest as
Ashley Carbonier'
s shot in the 89th minute was blocked and Sharpe recording a save on
Claudia Mischler's shot in the closing seconds.

- This result was the first time that the Shorewomen were not defeated at home by Gettysburg, moving the all-time series record against the Bullets to 1-21-1 with a home record of 0-11-1.
