Shoremen and Garnet Finish in a Scoreless Tie

WC Outshoots Swarthmore 15-4

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Visiting Washington College held a 15-4 advantage in shots over host Swarthmore but could not dent the scoreboard in a 0-0 tie on Wednesday night at Clothier Field in a Centennial Conference men's soccer contest.  The Shoremen are now 4-4-6 overall and 3-1-3 in the Centennial, while the Garnet is now 6-5-4 and 1-4-2 respectively.

How It Happened
- Washington's Harrison Malone had the first shot of the game at the 2:57 mark, but his shot was saved by Swarthmore's Caleb Ehrenhaft. 
- The Garnet's Bless Tumubane had the hosts first shot in the 20th minute, but Anthony Pinto stopped the shot for the Shoremen.
- Zak Burgess of WC had the last shot of the first half with 4:05 left, but it was blocked.
- The Shoremen hit the crossbar twice in the second half.  Sebastien Linares hit it in the 63rd minute and Harrison Malone had his shot ring off of it in with 5:04 to go.
- Swarthmore had the final shot of the game with 10 ticks left in the contest, but Brandon Cramblit's attempt went wide.

- Goalkeeper: Anthony Pinto (2 saves, 0 goals allowed, 90:00)
- Washington had 15 shots and took four corner kicks in the contest.
