ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Sophomore forward
Kat Esposito (Severna Park, Md./Severna Park) scored off of a rebound with 6:36 remaining in the second overtime period for her second golden goal in as many years against host Muhlenberg as visiting Washington College notched a 1-0 double overtime win in a Centennial Conference field hockey game on Saturday afternoon on Frank Marino Field at Scotty Wood Stadium. The Shorewomen, who extend their winning streak to four games and beat Muhlenberg for the second straight year in extra time, are now to 8-7 overall and 5-3 in the Centennial, while the Mules fall to 5-10 and 3-6 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Shorewomen had six of the game's first seven shots and the first seven penalty corners, but could not get onto the scoreboard.
- Muhlenberg would get the final three shots and two penalty coners of the second quarter, all coming in the final 1:56 of the second, but could not convert and the game would go to halftime scoreless.
- In the fourth quarter, the Mules took three shots in a nine second span with the final shot by
Mikayla DeMichele with 9:51 to go blocked. It was Muhlenberg's final chance in regulation.
- Washington's
MaryCate Anson had the final chance with 1:42 to go, but her shot was turned away by
Grace Leard and the game would head to golden goal overtime.
- In the first overtime session, Washington held a 4-1 advantage in shots, but neither side could score the walk-off goal. Esposito had WC's last chance with 2:51 to go, but it went wide and Muhlenberg's lone chance came off of the stick of
Zabelle Aslanian with 32 seconds left, but it went wide as well.
- In the second overtime period, the Mules'
Erin DiSandro had the hosts last shot 2:41 in, but
Ava Rivera turned away the shot.
- The winning sequence started when Esposito stole the ball from a Muhlenberg defender and earned a penalty corner. Off the corner,
Anna Harrington took the initial shot that was saved by Leard, but the rebound went to Esposito from about six yards out on the right side and Esposito put it into the cage for her CC leading 15th goal of the season.

Notes
- Esposito scored last year's golden goal in Chestertown off of a feed from
Kyra Heap.
- The Shorewomen snapped a four-game losing streak in Allentown with the last win coming on October 6, 2012 by a 2-0 score.
- It is WC's first four-game winning streak since 2017.
