OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Senior midfielder
Eric Gwadz (Washington, D.C./Woodrow Wilson) scored his second game-winning goal in as many contests with 24:43 to go in the second half to snap a 1-1 tie and give visiting Washington College a 2-1 win over host Stevenson on Tuesday night at Mustang Stadium in a non-conference men's soccer contest. The Shoremen are now 6-4-6 overall, while the Mustangs are now 5-8-5 on the year.

How It Happened
- Following a handball by Stevenson, the Shoremen were awarded a free kick from just outside the box and
Max Greenfeld's direct kick found the lower right corner of the goal to put the visitors ahead 1-0 in the 29th minute. It was the junior's first career score.
- The Mustangs tied the game with 6:11 left in the first half when
Adam White headed in a cross from
Brian Holmes into the left side of the goal from seven yards out.
- Washington would score the winner in the 65th minute when
Alex Coster crossed the ball into the box and it found Gwadz, who got behind the defense, and slotted it into the lower left corner.
- Stevenson had two shots to try to tie it, but both got blocked, including the final one by
Andy Portillo with 49 seconds left in the game following a free kick by the hosts.

Notes
- The two teams were playing for the first time since a 2-1 Shoremen win in 2018. WC leads the all-time series 9-3, a series that dates back to 1996.
