WESTMINSTER, Md. – Host McDaniel jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the second half and held off a comeback try by visiting Washington College to record a 2-1 win on Wednesday afternoon at the Soccer Complex in a Centennial Conference women's soccer contest. The Green Terror is now 8-4-4 overall and 5-2-2 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are now 6-4-6 overall and 2-3-4 respectively.  Â

Elena Hilario had Washington's best chance to tie it before halftime with 5:07 to go, but her shot from around 30 yards out was stopped by Green Terror goalie
Katherine Carstensen.
- The Green Terror made it 2-0 in the 51st minute as Jessie Titus headed in a corner kick from Allison Storm from the penalty stripe.
- Washington would cut the lead to 2-1 just 2:37 after McDaniel's second goal at 52:46 when
Katie King ripped a shot into the upper right 90 from 10 yards out with
Audrey Flanagan tallying the assist on a cross.
- The Shorewomen had two more chances to tie the game, but could not come up with the tying goal.Â
Ellie Morrall had the last WC shot with 30:54 to go in the second half, but the shot was turned away by Carstensen.
