CHESTERTOWN, Md.- Senior forward Julianna Sterling (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) scored the game-winning goal 3:47 into the third quarter as the host Washington College field hockey team, who punched its ticket to the Centennial Conference Tournament on Wednesday, capped its regular season with 3-1 win over visiting Dickinson on Saturday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in a Centennial Conference field hockey game. The Shoremwomen finish their regular season at 9-8 overall and 6-4 in Centennial Conference play, while the Red Devils finish their season 5-12 overall and 3-7 in the conference.

How it Happened
- The Shorewomen sent a pair of shots midway through the first quarter by Kyra Heap and Samantha McMahon, but neither were on target.
- Washington College senior Jillian Brejnik put the Shorewomen on the board with eight seconds left in the first quarter as the hosts led 1-0 after one.
- Dickinson's Abby Marthins tied the game at 1-1 with 2:02 left in the second quarter goal as she scored off of a loose ball in the circle.
- The Shorewomen went ahead for good on Sterling's goal with 11:13 left in the third quarter as she scored from six yards out in the middle of the circle after receiving a pass from the right side by MaryCate Anson.
- Kat Esposito scored the insurance goal on a pass from Anna Harrington with 2:21 to go in the third to push the lead to 3-1 and that would be the lead after three.
- In the fourth quarter, the Red Devils had a pair of shots late to narrow the lead but neither found the target. Morgan Yandow-Harding took the first shot with 9:38 remaining in the fourth quarter which was followed by another shot by Emma Snyder with 7:31 left.
