CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College found itself outshot by visiting #4 Johns Hopkins by a 9-5 margin, with the Blue Jays capitalizing on three chances to come out on top 3-0 Saturday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in Centennial Conference women's soccer action. The result moves the Shorewomen to 4-3-4 overall and 1-2-3 in Centennial play, for the Blue Jays they move to 9-0-2 overall and 5-0-0 in the conference.

How It Happened
- The Blue Jays controlled the offense until
Grace Kelley took a header towards the goal in 30th minute, just missing wide of the goal.
- Johns Hopkins'
Breukelen Woodard opened the score line with a 32nd minute goal by intercepting a Washington pass before cutting it back in to slot the ball above goalie
Hailey Sharpe and the crossbar.
- The Blue Jays'
Rebecca Rosen increased the lead for Johns Hopkins in the 44th minute as the shot from the right side went far post to make it 2-0 Blue Jays.
- Early in the second half Sharpe came up crucial for the Shorewomen, saving Woodard's penalty shot in the 52nd minute.
- Possession then went back and forth for much of the second half until
Maria Romo-Nichols extended the lead once again for Johns Hopkins with a 70th minute goal, burying it behind Sharpe with the assist coming from Rosen.
- Washington ended the game with two scoring chances in the closing minutes from
Ellie Morrall and
Lauren Maynor, with Blue Jays goalie
Emma Huntzinger saving both shots.
