CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College jumped out to a 44-18 halftime lead on its way to a 65-39 win over visiting Bryn Mawr on Tuesday night in Centennial Conference women's basketball action at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium. The Shorewomen are now 4-1 overall on the season and 2-1 in the conference, while the Owls fall to 2-4 overall on the season and 0-3 in Centennial action.

How It Happened
- After scoring the game's first seven points, Washington led only by four at 11-7 following a three by Bryn Mawr's
Hannah Binder before going on a 9-2 run to end the first to take a 20-9 lead.
Emma Robinson drained a free throw with five seconds left to cap the first half scoring.
- In the second quarter, the Shorewomen scored the final 13 points to take a 44-18 lead into intermission on a layup by Robinson that beat the buzzer.
- The run would continue into the third quarter for WC as it scored the first seven points to lead 51-18 with 7:55 left in the third on a
Lizzie Hudock jumper that capped a spurt of 20 straight points. The 33-point advantage was the biggest of the night.
- Bryn Mawr would outscore the hosts 14-6 the rest of the third to cut the lead to 57-32 after three.
- The Shorewomen edged the Owls, 8-7, in the fourth quarter to provide the final margin.

- WC shot 41% from the floor (27-for-66), 7% from three-point range (1-for-14) and 53% (10-for-19) from the foul line in the game.
- The Shorewomen outrebounded the Owls, 52-28, while turning it over 15 times.
- WC outscored Bryn Mawr in points in the paint, 38-14, second chance points, 21-2, transition points, 6-4, and bench points, 31-13.
