BALTIMORE, Md. – Host Johns Hopkins got a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds, both game-highs, from
Olivia Parisi in a 59-44 win over visiting Washington College on Thursday night at Goldfarb Gym in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Blue Jays are now 4-3 overall and 2-1 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are now 4-2 and 2-2 respectively.

How It Happened
- After giving up eight of the game's first 10 points, the Shorewomen scored six of the next eight to trim the Blue Jays' lead to 10-8 on a
Karry Kelliher lay-in with 3:20 left in the first quarter.
- Johns Hopkins, who never trailed in the game, would close the opening 10 minutes though on an 11-2 run to lead 21-10 after one with Parisi capping the scoring on a jumper with 26 seconds left.Â
- Trailing 29-16 following a
Michaela O'Neil layup with 4:48 to go in the second, Washington scored the final seven points to cut the lead to 29-23 at the break with
Andrea Prestianne netting two technical free throws with 36 seconds remaining.

Joy Sanders would open the third quarter by canning a long three-pointer to beat the shot clock to cut the lead to 29-26 to cap a 10-0 run for WC.
- The Blue Jays would answer with 12 straight points of their own to take a 41-26 lead with
Sophie deBettencourt finishing the run with a three-pointer with 2:35 to go. The hosts took a 45-32 lead into the fourth stanza after leading by as many as 16, 44-28, with 60 ticks to go in the third.
- In the fourth, the guests got it within nine points on two occasions, the final time being 51-42 with 5:26 on two free throws by Sanders before the Blue Jays scored eight of the final 10 points of the contest to pull away for the win.Â

- The Shorewomen turned it over 15 times, while grabbing 40 boards.
- WC outscored Johns Hopkins in points in the paint, 28-26, second chance points, 10-8, and transition points, 8-7.
