CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Senior guard
Andrea Prestianne (Kennett Square, Pa./Kennett) notched her first career double-double with career-bests of 23 points and 11 rebounds and matched her personal-high in assists with five as host Washington College downed visiting Gettysburg, the reigning Centennial Conference Champions, 66-49, on Saturday afternoon at Penny J. Fall Gym in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Shorewomen improve to 5-2 on the season and 3-2 in the Centennial, while the Bullets drop to 3-3 and 2-2 respectively.

How It Happened
- Tied 6-6 in with 5:20 to go in the first quarter, Washington would score six of the final seven points to take a 12-7 lead after one with
Amari Faust draining a jumper with 34 seconds left to cap the scoring in the stanza.
- Gettysburg scored the opening six points of the second quarter to take a 13-12 lead on three-pointer by
Ab Holsinger with 9:04 remaining. It would be the last lead the Bullets would have on the afternoon.
- The Shorewomen answered by outscoring the guests, 20-6, the rest of the quarter to lead 32-19 at halftime. Faust put the Shorewomen ahead for the rest of the game on a jumper with 8:31 to go in the second.

Joy Sanders gave WC its first double-digit lead, 11 points at 26-15 with 3:59 to go in the second, and
Karry Kelliher canned a jumper with 67 seconds left in the second to give the hosts a 13-point advantage into halftime.
- Trailing 40-27 with 6:51 to go in the third, the Bullets would go on a 14-5 run to cut the lead to 45-41 with 1:33 to go on a
Shinya Lee jumper. The Shorewomen held a 47-43 lead heading into the fourth.
- In the fourth and leading 49-45 with 8:09 remaining, the Shorewomen scored the next 12 points to take a 61-45 lead with 1:24 to go on a pair of free throws by Kelliher. The 17-point final margin was the biggest in the game.

Notes
- Prestianne was named the Goose Nation TV Shorewoman Player of the Game. Her prior career-highs were 19 points and nine rebounds, which she achieved last season.
- Prestianne's double-double was the team's third this season as Kelliher had one at Notre Dame (Md.) on November 8 and seven days later Sanders had one versus Marymount. Kelliher and Sanders both had 17 points and 10 boards.
- Both teams scored four transition points in the game.
