CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Bryn Athyn withstood 16 three-pointers from host Washington College and went on a 26-5 run late in the second half to pull away for a 103-85 win on Tuesday night on Finnegan Court at Penny J. Fall Gym in a non-conference men's basketball game.  The Lions improve 4-1 overall, while the Shoremen are 0-5.

How It Happened
- The Lions raced out to a 9-2 lead just 2:46 into the game on a transition dunk by Will Little as the visitors never trailed in the contest. 
- Washington would cut the lead to 13-10 on a fast break layup by Ethan Schwantes with 13:06 to go in the opening half.
- Leading 26-18 with 7:50 remaining in the first half, Bryn Athyn outscored Washington 21-14 the rest of the half to take a 47-32 lead into halftime.
- Trailing 74-62 with 10:19 left in the second half, the Shoremen went on a 12-3 run to cut the lead to 77-74 on a three by Jason Zielinski with 7:49 to go.  Washington went 4-for-4 from three-point land during the run accounting for all 12 points.
- After a Bryn Athyn turnover, the Shoremen had two chances from three to tie the game, but both were off the mark.  The Lions would answer on a three of their own by Noah Riley to make it 80-74 with 6:53 left and would start the 26-5 run. 
- Bryn Athyn would push its lead to as many as 24 on a Derreck Orr Jr. transition lay-in, 103-79, with 1:30 to go.  WC scored the final six points to provide the final margin.

For The Shoremen (0-5)
- Kedrick Frink (career-high and game-best 30 points; two steals), Zielinski (16 points), Grant Kemp (13 points, 4-for-4 from three), Marcus Scott Jr. (12 points and nine rebounds), Ryan Lang (six assists)
- The Shoremen shot 37% (27-for-73) from the floor, 30% (16-for-53) from three-point range and 75% (15-for-20) from the foul line. 
- Washington outscored the Lions in bench points (41-30) and second chance points (11-7).
- The Shoremen held a 47-37 advantage on the boards and had 23 turnovers.

For Bryn Athyn (4-1)
- Jamal Cannady Jr. (team-high 26 points; six assists and three steals), Little (19 points), Jaryn McCann (15 points, nine boards and four steals), Orr Jr. (15 points), Riley (six assists and five steals)
- The Lions shot 55% (35-for-64) from the floor, 50% (9-for-18) from three-point range and 67% (24-for-36) from the free throw stripe.    
- Bryn Athyn held a 48-23 advantage in points in the paint, 28-16 in points off turnovers and a 14-11 edge in transition points.
- The Lions had 14 turnovers in the contest.

Notes
- Kemp was named the Goose Nation TV Shoreman Player of the Game.
- Frink was the first Washington player to score 30 in a game since Stephen Poarch '15 scored 30 at McDaniel in on January 26, 2013.
- The 53 three-point tries by the Shoremen set a program mark.
- Washington's 85 points was a season-best.
