CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting Bryn Athyn withstood 16 three-pointers from host Washington College and went on a 26-5 run late in the second half to pull away for a 103-85 win on Tuesday night on Finnegan Court at Penny J. Fall Gym in a non-conference men's basketball game. The Lions improve 4-1 overall, while the Shoremen are 0-5.

How It Happened
- The Lions raced out to a 9-2 lead just 2:46 into the game on a transition dunk by
Will Little as the visitors never trailed in the contest.Â
- Washington would cut the lead to 13-10 on a fast break layup by
Ethan Schwantes with 13:06 to go in the opening half.
- Leading 26-18 with 7:50 remaining in the first half, Bryn Athyn outscored Washington 21-14 the rest of the half to take a 47-32 lead into halftime.
- Trailing 74-62 with 10:19 left in the second half, the Shoremen went on a 12-3 run to cut the lead to 77-74 on a three by
Jason Zielinski with 7:49 to go. Washington went 4-for-4 from three-point land during the run accounting for all 12 points.
- After a Bryn Athyn turnover, the Shoremen had two chances from three to tie the game, but both were off the mark. The Lions would answer on a three of their own by Noah Riley to make it 80-74 with 6:53 left and would start the 26-5 run.Â
- Bryn Athyn would push its lead to as many as 24 on a
Derreck Orr Jr. transition lay-in, 103-79, with 1:30 to go. WC scored the final six points to provide the final margin.
