Frink Scores Team-Best 13 Points

ASTON, Pa. – Host Neumann got double-doubles of 34 points and 11 rebounds from Jalen Vaughns and 10 points and 15 assists from Ryan Starr in a 76-61 win over visiting Washington College on Thursday night in a non-conference men's basketball game at the Mirenda Center.  The Knights are now 7-3 on the season, while the Shoremen are 0-6.

How It Happened
- Washington jumped out to a 14-7 lead 5:01 into the game on a Kedrick Frink three-pointer.
- Neumann responded with 12 of the next 17 points to tie the game at 19-19 with exactly 10:00 to go in the first half on a TJ Lewis lay-in.
- Tied at 22-22 with 8:15 to go in the first half, the Knights went on a 19-3 run to take a 41-25 lead with 3:02 to go in the opening half on a Vaughns jumper.  Lewis put Neumann ahead 24-22 on the pair of free throws with 7:37 left in the stanza.
- The Knights took a 47-29 lead into halftime.
- In the second half, Neumann outscored the Shoremen, 42-35, with WC scoring 13 of the last 16 points.

For The Shoremen (0-6)
- Frink (13 points), Marcus Scott Jr. (five rebounds), Grant Kemp (four assists and four steals), Ethan Schwantes (three steals)
- The Shoremen shot 32% (22-for-69) from the floor, 28% (12-for-43) from three-point range and 67% (8-for-12) from the foul line. 
- Washington outscored the Knights in points off turnovers (17-16), bench points (29-23) and transition points (13-11).
- The Shoremen had 14 turnovers.

For Neumann (7-3)
- Vaughns (34 points and 11 rebounds), Starr (15 assists and 10 points), Tony James (11 points), Lewis (10 points)  
- The Knights shot 62% (38-for-61) from the floor, 38% (3-for-8) from three-point range and 48% (10-for-21) from the free throw stripe.    
- Neumann outscored WC in points in the paint (68-18) and second-chance points (14-8).
- The Knights had 19 turnovers in the contest, while holding a 50-31 advantage on the glass.

Notes
- Kemp's four steals are the most by a Shoremen this season.
