Profs Too Much for #T24 Shorewomen, 15-7

Keefe Scores Three Times and Allender Tallies Three Points

GLASSBORO, N.J. – Host Rowan scored the game's first three goals and never trailed on its way to a 15-7 win over visiting #T24 Washington College in a non-conference women's lacrosse game on Wednesday afternoon at Wackar Stadium.  The Profs improve to 2-2 on the year, while the Shorewomen drop to 1-3.

How It Happened
- The Profs scored the game's first three goals with Julianna Corson capping the run with 6:28 remaining in the first quarter on a free position.
- Ellie Morrall got the Shorewomen on the board on a free position with 5:17 to go in the first.
- After Colleen Keefe netted a free position to trim the Rowan lead to 4-2 with 1:31 to go in the quarter, Corson answered with her second of the first to give Rowan a 5-2 lead after one.
- Sydney Allender opened the second quarter scoring to get Washington within 5-3 with 12:52 to go.
- Rowan would answer by netting the final three goals of the second to take an 8-3 advantage into halftime with Michaela Donnelly giving the Profs a five-goal lead with 3:40 to go on a feed from Corson.
- In the third quarter, Keefe scored her second of the third on a pass from Allender to cut it to 9-6 with 3:45 to go.
- Rowan would restore its five goal lead with two scores in the final 44 ticks of the third to take an 11-6 edge heading into the fourth.  Elise Cohan made it a 10-6 lead with 44 seconds left from Ashley Lechliter and Green netted a score with six ticks left to cap the scoring in the third.
- Tobin Chambers got Washington within four, 11-7, with 10:34 remaining in the fourth on a free position before Jamie Cutrera answered with 6:26 to go to put the Profs ahead by five.  The hosts scored three more times to round out the scoring.

For The #T24 Shorewomen (1-3)
- Scoring: Keefe (three goals and one assist), Allender (two goals and assist)
- In Goal: Sydney Wingate (60:00, nine saves, 15 goals)
- Morrall (game-high five draw controls), Keefe (three groundballs) and Chloe Sass (two caused turnovers)
- WC went 10-for-12 in clears, went 3-for-7 in free position shots and 12 ground balls.

For Rowan (2-2)
- Scoring: Corson (four goals and two assists), Cutrera and Molly Green (three goals), Cohan (two goals), Lechliter (goal and assist)
- In Goal: Reilly Shaup (60:00, seven saves, seven goals)
- Erin Renshaw (four draw controls), Green (four groundballs and three caused turnovers)
- The Profs went 14-for-19 in clears and had two fewer turnovers than WC, 15-13.
- Rowan held a 35-21 advantage in shots, went 4-for-9 in free position chances and totaled 15 ground balls.

Notes
- Both teams won 13 draw controls in the game.
- Keefe moves closer to 100 career points as her three goals today gives her 95 career points on 87 scores and eight helpers.
