Box Score CHESTERTOWN, Md. - The Washington College Shorewomen tennis team defeated the Bryn Mawr Owls, 8-1, in a Centennial Conference match on Wednesday evening at Schottland Tennis Center. The Shorewomen, who had to default at No. 6 singles, won the other five singles matches in straight sets and only lost a total of four games. The hosts won the three doubles' points going away and now stand at 8-5 (2-3 C.C.) while the Owls drop to 2-6 (0-4 C.C.).
No, 1 Irene Meng, #2 Alisha White, and No. 4 Maria Diaz-Nazario did not drop a single game in their singles matches. No. 3 Piper Sartison and No. 5 Bin Nguyen won in straight sets as well.
No. 1 White/Diaz-Nazario, No. 2 Meng/Sartison and No. 3 Nguyen/Ruppert recorded doubles' points.
The Shorewomen will travel to Gettysburg on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
