Box Score Sartison Clinches Match for Washington at No. 3 Singles
GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Visiting Washington College, ranked 20th in the Atlantic South Region, topped host Gettysburg, 6-3, on Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference women's tennis action at the Bullets Tennis Courts. The Shorewomen have downed the Bullets in 18 of the last 20 meetings.

Doubles
- The Shorewomen won at No. 2 doubles for their first win of the afternoon as Irene Meng and Piper Sartison produced an 8-1 win over the Bullets tandem of Sarah Guistwite and Julia Gowland.
- No. 1 doubles finished next as the duo of Alisha White and María Cristina Diaz-Nazario of WC bested Gettysburg's Amanda Brazyte and Gillian Rozenfeld, 8-6.
- The Bullets captured the final of the three doubles matches to conclude as Tierney Cantwell and Catherine Haley edged Bin Nguyen and Katie Ruppert, 8-7, with an 8-6 win in the tiebreak.
Singles
- Diaz-Nazario got the Shorewomen the first victory in singles as she coasted past Kate Alianiello, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles.
- Nguyen was next to win her match at No. 5 as she cruised past Alexis Rinker, 6-0, 6-0.
- Sartison secured victory for WC as she downed Rieg in straight sets, 6-0, 6-1, at No. 3.
- Meng, ranked 24th in the region, won the final point for the visitors on the day as she downed Guistwite, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 1 singles.
- Haley picked up a win for the Bullets at No. 6 with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Ruppert.
- White led Rozenfeld, 7-5, 3-2, at No. 2 singles before she had to retire and Rozenfeld was awarded the win.
Notes
- The Shorewomen are 9-5 on the season, while the Bullets are 8-7. WC is 3-3 in the conference, while Gettysburg is 3-4 in the Centennial.
