Box Score Sass Scores First Career Goal for Washington
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting #4 Gettysburg used a 5-0 run spanning the first and second quarters to take the a 6-2 lead on its way to a 16-8 win over host Washington College on Saturday afternoon at Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in a Centennial Conference women's lacrosse game. The Bullets are 7-3 on the season and 2-0 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are 3-6 and 1-1 respectively.

How It Happened
- After Gettysburg took a 1-0 lead on a Gabi Connor score 1:37 into the game, Molly Sharpe scored twice for Washington in 12 seconds to take a 2-1 lead with 11:55 in the first quarter with Ashley Devlin notching the assist.
- Maddi Seibel would tie the game 2-2 with 10:18 to go in the first and it ignited a 5-0 run for the Bullets. Jordan Basso would put the guests ahead for the rest of the contest, 3-2, with 7:33 to go in the opening stanza. Connor would cap the scoring in the first with 1:54 to go on a feed by Basso to give Gettysburg a 5-2 lead after one.
- Katie Fullowan capped the run with opening goal of the second quarter 29 seconds in to give Gettysburg a 6-2 edge.
- Washington would score two of the next three to trim the lead to 7-4 with 7:01 to go in the second on an Abby Laubach free position goal. However, the Bullets scored the final two of the second to take a 9-4 lead into halftime with Basso netting an unassisted goal with 3:45 to go to make it a five-goal contest.
- Laubach would score the first goal of the third to trim the lead to 9-5 55 ticks into the third before Gettysburg scored the next three to push its lead to 12-5 with 5:09 remaining on an unassisted goal by Basso.
- Chloe Sass would score her first career goal 41 seconds later to cut the lead to 12-6 on a pass from Devlin, but 49 ticks later Fullowan scored unassisted to make it a 13-6 game heading into the fourth.
- The Bullets outscored the Shorewomen 3-2 in the fourth to provide the final margin.

- Scoring: Laubach (three goals and one assist; game-best five draw controls), Sharpe (two goals), Devlin (two assists), Morgan Sutherland (goal and helper)
- In Goal: Sydney Wingate (60:00, 13 saves, 16 goals)

- The Shorewomen had five caused turnovers, while turning it over 18 times.
- WC went 17-for-20 in clears, went 1-for-2 in free position shots and picked up 17 ground balls.

- Scoring: Fullowan (game-bests six goals and seven points; four ground balls to tie for tops in game to go along with four draws), Basso (four scores and five points), Jenna King (contest-high five assists; two caused turnovers), Connor and Seibel (three goals)

- Nora Janzer (four ground balls, tying for game-high, and two caused turnovers), Lily Macatte (four draws and two ground balls), Annie Nikolic (two caused turnovers)
- The Bullets, who held a 34-24 advantage in shots, went 20-for-22 in clears and had just nine turnovers.
- Gettysburg went 2-for-4 in free position chances, totaled 17 ground balls and recorded 14 caused turnovers.
