Box Score Sharpe Scores Twice and Adds Assist
CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host #2 Franklin & Marshall fell behind 4-1 before going on a 7-0 run to end the second quarter to take an 8-4 halftime lead on its way to an 18-6 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon at Shadek Stadium in Centennial Conference women's lacrosse action. The Diplomats are 13-2 on the season and 6-1 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are 5-9 overall and 3-4 in the conference.

How It Happened
- Washington jumped out to a 2-0 lead with 6:52 to go in the first quarter on an Abby Laubach goal from Molly Sharpe. Ashley Devlin scored the game's opening goal 6:01 into the first.
- The Diplomats got on the board with 3:16 to go in the first on a Lydia Cassilly unassisted up goal before Sharpe restored the two goal lead with nine ticks remaining in the first on a feed from Laubach.
- Sharpe gave WC a three-goal lead, 4-1, with 12:30 to go in the second with Devlin notching the helper.
- Franklin & Marshall would begin its comeback on a Cassilly goal with 9:50 left in the second from Maisie O'Shea and it began a span of three goals in 64 seconds that culminated in O'Shea tying the game with 8:46 left from Ally Marino.
- Gillian Brennan would put the Diplomats ahead for good, 5-4, with 2:00 left in the second as the hosts scored four times in the final two minutes to give F&M an 8-4 lead at halftime as Brennan scored with four seconds left to cap the run.
- Morgan Sutherland ended the 7-0 run 1:08 into the third quarter on an unassisted score to cut the lead to 8-5.
- F&M would respond with the next nine spanning the third and fourth quarters to take control of the game.
For The Shorewomen (5-9, 3-4 CC)
- Scoring: Sharpe (two goals and one assist), Devlin, Laubach and Tobin Chambers (goal and assist)
- In Goal: Sydney Wingate (45:00, six saves, 14 goals allowed), Emily Markley (15:00, three saves, four goals allowed)

- The Shorewomen had six caused turnovers and picked up 10 ground balls.
- WC went 11-for-18 in clears and went 3-for-5 in free position shots.
For #1 Franklin & Marshall (13-2, 6-1 CC)
- Scoring: Cassilly (four goals), O'Shea (three goals and one assist), Brennan and Marino (two goals and two assists), Sarah Delaney (two goals), Bridget Kane and Kate McLam (goal and assist)
- In Goal: Emily Kitchin (55:51, six saves, six goals allowed), Molly Donatelli (4:09, zero saves and zero goals allowed)
- Marino, Ally Gravel and Delaney Liston (three ground balls), Megan Bizub and Madison Bray (three draws)
- The Diplomats, who held a 41-16 advantage in shots, went 18-for-23 in clears and had nine fewer turnovers than WC, 21-12.
- Franklin & Marshall went 2-for-5 in free position chances, totaled 24 ground balls and recorded 11 caused turnovers.
