How It Happened
- The Shorewomen earned a penalty kick at the 37:21 mark when
Lauren Maynor (Ellicott City, Md., Howard) was taken down in the box by a Sea Gull defender.Â
Ellen Daly (Locust, N.J., Rumson-Fair Haven Regional) took the kick and it went through the hands of Salisbury goalkeeper Autumn Conway to give WC a 1-0 lead. The hosts would take the one goal lead into halftime.
- Salisbury would tie the game 1:48 into the second half when Lissette Carneiro took a shot from the top of the box and it found its way into the goal to knot it at 1-1. The sequence started due to a failed clear by Washington.
- Autumn Dougherty would put the Sea Gulls ahead for good at the 51:28 mark when her shot from the top of the 18 hit the left post and rolled into the net to put the visitors ahead 2-1. Dougherty got the ball after it deflected off of a Shorewoman defender following a free kick from midfield.

Bridget Whiteside (Elmhurst, Ill., Trinity) and her shot from about 15 yards out was stopped by Conway.
