Swarthmore, Pa. - The Washington College women's tennis team opened their fall season with an appearance at the Swarthmore Invitational.

Notable
- Eva Kading (Prairie Village, Kan., Shawnee Mission East) came up big in the most exciting match of the weekend. The freshman split the first two sets with Franklin & Marshall's Mackenzie Sherman (6-3, 4-6) and pulled out a thrilling 15-13 victory in tie-breaker.
- Freshman Isabella Sorhegui (Naples, Fla., Barron Collier) defeated Clara March (F&M)  in straight sets, 6-3, 6-4.
- Junior Piper Sartison (Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Western Canada) and senior Irene Meng (Surrey, B.C., Canada, Pacific Academy) defeated Mckenzie Sherman/Jenna Harrison (F&M), 8-6 in doubles.
-Washington College took their final match when senior  Bin Nguyen (Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, International Ho Chi Minh City American Academy) and Sorhegui defeated Jocelyn Chow and Pressley Daggett, 8-5.
