Washington College 3 McDaniel 2 (25-13, 25-23, 23-25, 21-25, 15-12)

How It Happened
- Washington snapped a 4-4 tie with an 11-3 run in the first set to take a 15-7 lead on a Courtney Maxwell (Middletown, Del., Caravel Academy) kill.  Chelsea Elliott (Baltimore, Md., Maryvale Prep) ended the opening set with a kill as the Shorewomen won by 12.
- The Green Terror led 23-19 in the second set following a kill by Allyson Burgee before the Shorewomen scored six straight to take the second set by a pair.  Giselle Kleinbussink (Gaithersburg, Md., Wootton) capped the comeback with a finisher.
- McDaniel led 21-16 in the third set after an attack error by Washington before the hosts went on a 7-3 run to cut the lead to 24-23 on a kill by Angelina Schaber (Carlsbad, Calif., San Dieguito Academy).  Mackenzie Mitchell would get the 25th point for the guests to force a fourth set.
- In the fourth set, the Green Terror never trailed in their four-point win.  Nia Roberts forced a fifth and decisive set with a kill.
- In the fifth set, Maxwell put the Shorewomen ahead 14-9 on an ace before the Green Terror scored three straight to cut the lead to 14-12 on a kill by Angalyn Strouse.  However that's as close as McDaniel would get as an attack error by the visitors ended the set and match.
