CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Visiting #12 Swarthmore got a game-best 23 points from
Vinny DeAngelo and never trailed on its way to a 97-74 win over host Washington College on Thursday night in Centennial Conference men's basketball action on Finnegan Court at Penny J. Fall Gymnasium. The 12th-ranked Garnet are now 13-1 overall and 7-0 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are 2-11 and 1-6 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Garnet jumped out to a 16-6 lead in the first 4:54 of the game on a
George Visconti three-point basket.
- Swarthmore pushed its advantage to 31-15 with 7:08 left in the first half on a DeAngelo three.
- Washington would cut the lead to 12 at 35-23 with 4:59 left in the first half on a
Davis Bland jumper.
- The guests would end the half on an 11-4 run to take a 46-27 lead into halftime with DeAngelo netting a lay-in with 31 seconds to go to cap the scoring in the stanza.
- In the second half, Swarthmore would push the lead to 52-30 with 17:04 remaining on a
Colin Shaw transition layup. The Garnet's lead the rest of the night fluctuated between 15 and 26 points.

- The Garnet had nine turnovers in the contest, while holding a 50-29 edge in rebounds.

- The eight turnovers are the second fewest in a game this season for WC as it had seven in the season opener at Immaculata.
