WESTMINSTER, Md. – Host McDaniel got a double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds from
Charles Contee in a 65-48 win over visiting Washington College on Wednesday night in Centennial Conference men's basketball action at the Gill Center. The Green Terror improve to 7-7 overall and 4-5 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen drop to 2-13 and 1-8 respectively.

How It Happened
- Washington took a 13-9 lead with 14:37 left in the first half on a
Davis Bland three-pointer.
- McDaniel answered with an 11-0 run to take a 20-13 lead on Russell Dandridge layup with 9:21 to go in the first as Dandridge scored the last six points of the run.
- The Green Terror took their biggest lead of the first half of nine points, 33-24, with 28 seconds to go a Dandridge conventional three-point play at 33-24.
- After a McDaniel turnover with 0.4 of a second left,
Kedrick Frink was able to get a shot off to beat the buzzer from
Nick Romeo on an alley hoop pass to trim the deficit to 33-26 at halftime.
- In the second half, Washington got within four at 37-33 with 15:44 left in the contest on a Frink free throw.
- That's as close as the Shoremen would get as the Green Terror scored the next seven points to take a 44-33 lead with 12:10 to go on two free throws by
Jeong Hwang.
- Frink would net a free throw with 5:39 left to reduce the hosts' advantage to nine, 53-44, before the hosts closed out the contest by tallying 12 of the last 16 points.
For The Shoremen (2-13, 1-8 CC)

- The Shoremen shot 30% (16-for-53) from the floor, 23% (6-for-26) from three-point range and 71% (10-for-14) from the foul line.
- Washington had 10 turnovers in the game and held a 16-8 advantage in points off turnovers.
For McDaniel (7-7, 4-5 CC)
- Contee (16 points to tie for game-best and contest-high 10 rebounds for double-double), Dandridge (16 points to tie for tops in game)
- The Green Terror shot 52% (28-for-54) from the floor, 31% (5-for-16) from three-point range and 57% (4-for-7) from the free throw stripe.
- McDaniel outscored WC in points in the paint (36-14), bench points (26-14) and second chance points (15-5).
- The Green Terror had 13 turnovers in the contest, while holding a 41-27 advantage of the glass.
