Gettysburg Defeat Shoremen, 89-63

Frink registers double-double in loss

GETTYSBURG, Pa. – Gettysburg had five players register double figures on its way to an 89-63 win over Washington College in Saturday's Centennial Conference men's basketball action at Beam Gym. The Shoremen fall to 2-14 on the year and 1-9 in conference play while the Bullets improve to 10-7 overall and 7-3 in conference play.

How It Happened
- Washington started the contest with a pair of threes by Nick Romeo (Senior/Ambler, Pa.) and Sam Corrao (Junior/Salford, Pa.) to jump out to a 6-0 lead. 
- The Bullets would start to get going and took the lead with 12:12 remaining in the first half on a Carl Schaller lay-up. WC would respond to take a 15-14 through Kedrick Frink (Junior/Sunderland, Md.) but that prove to be the Shoremen's last lead of the day. 
-Gettysburg closed the first half on a 28-9 run to take a 42-24 halftime lead. 
- It was more of the same in the second frame as Gettysburg outscored WC 47-39 during the final 20 minutes. 

For The Shoremen (2-14, 1-9 CC)
Kedrick Frink led the Shoremen with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Davis Bland (Freshman/Kennett Square, Pa.)chipped with 12 points off of the bench, including a game-high three triples. 
- The Shoremen shot 39% (23-for-59) from the floor, 36.4% (8-for-22) from three-point range and 56.3% (9-for-16) from the foul line.  
- Washington finished the game with 19 turnovers.

For Gettysburg (10-7, 7-3 CC)
- Carl Schaller led the way for Gettysburg with 21 points. Elijah Williams (15 points), Jordan Stafford (13 points), Antonello Baggi (10 points) and Nate Williams (10 points) all finished in double-figures for the Bullets.
-Gettysburg scored 28 points off of turnovers.
-The Bullets largest lead of the day was 37 with 9:24 remaining in the game.
