WESTMINSTER, Md. – Visiting Washington College outscored host McDaniel 21-13 in the fourth quarter to turn a 41-39 lead after three into a 62-52 win on Wednesday night on Rebecca L. Martin Court at the Gill Center in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Shorewomen improve to 11-5 overall and 7-4 in the Centennial, while the Green Terror fall to 6-9 and 4-6 respectively.

How It Happened
- Tied at 4-4 in the first quarter, Washington rattled off eight straight points to grab a 12-4 advantage with 2:40 to go on a transition jumper by
Joy Sanders. The Shorewomen led 12-6 after one.
- Julia Ryan netted a three-pointer to give McDaniel a 13-12 lead with 8:24 to go in the second quarter.
- Trailing 17-14, Washington scored eight of the next 10 points to grab a 22-19 lead with 2:59 remaining on two free throws by
Andrea Prestianne.

Meggie Burgess gave the Green Terror a 27-26 lead with 32 seconds to go on a jumper before Sanders netted a bucket in the paint with nine seconds left to give the Shorewomen a 28-27 lead at halftime.
- Level at 33-33 with 5:20 remaining in the third quarter,
Karry Kelliher ignited a 6-0 WC run with a traditional three-point play with 5:08 left to give the guests a 36-33 lead.
Lizzie Hudock hit a free throw with 3:22 remaining to cap the run and give the Shorewomen a 39-33 edge.
- McDaniel would score six of the last eight points of the third to trim the lead to 41-39 after three as
Josey Klingenberg canned two from the foul line with 10 seconds left to finish off the scoring in the third.
- The Shorewomen took control of the contest with a 9-1 run to open the fourth that was capped on a triple by Sanders with 6:35 to play that made it 50-40 WC. The closest McDaniel got the rest of the way was six points, 54-48, with 2:17 left on two Klingenberg free throws.

- WC shot 46% from the floor (25-for-54), 40% from three-point range (2-for-5) and 71% (10-for-14) from the foul line in the game.

- WC outscored McDaniel in points in the paint, 34-16, points off turnovers, 15-14, and transition points, 9-7.

- McDaniel had 18 turnovers in the game, while holding a 43-32 advantage in rebounds.
- The hosts outscored the visitors in bench points, 16-7, and second-chance points, 16-6.
