COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Host Ursinus overcame an early 10-point deficit to register a 92-79 win over visiting Washington College on Wednesday night at Helffferich Hall in Centennial Conference men's basketball action. The Bears improve 8-3 overall and 3-1 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen are 1-9 and 0-4 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen jumped out to a 14-4 lead 6:15 into the game on a three by
Braden Rodriguez.Â
- Trailing 27-18 with 8:55 left in the first half following a layup by WC's
Davis Bland, Ursinus went on a 17-8 run to tie the game, 35-35, with 3:37 remaining on a
Ryan Hughes triple.
- After Bland gave the guests the lead back on a three, 39-38, with 3:10 to go, the Bears closed out the half on a 12-2 run to take a 50-41 lead into halftime.Â
Trevor Wall put the hosts up 41-39 on a conventional three-point play and
Kyle Maurer sank two from the line with four seconds to go to close out the scoring in the opening stanza.
- In the second half, Washington scored five of the first eight points to trim the lead to 53-46 with 17:42 to go on a
Nick Romeo three-point goal.
- The Bears would take their biggest lead of the game of 15 points, 76-61, with 7:07 left in the second half on a Hughes layup.
- Washington would get within 10 points on multiple occasions, the final one being with 1:31 remaining on a
Sam Corrao three, 86-76, but Ursinus scored six of the final nine points to provide the final margin.

- Ursinus outscored WC in points in the paint (38-20), transition points (23-9) and bench points (40-25).
- The Bears had seven turnovers in the contest and held a 41-38 edge in rebounds.
