COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Junior forward
Serena Pluta (Townsend, Del./St. Mark's) made two free throws with 5.7 seconds left as visiting Washington College scored the last four points of the game to pull out a 59-58 win over host Ursinus on Wednesday evening at Helfferich Hall in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The Shorewomen are now 8-3 overall and 4-2 in the Centennial, while the Bears are now 3-7 and 1-5 respectively.

How It Happened
- The Bears scored the final eight points of the first quarter to lead 19-14 after one with
Alison Lisanti draining a three-pointer with one second left to cap the scoring.
- In the second quarter, Washington scored seven straight points, all by
Andrea Prestianne, to turn a 25-20 deficit into a 27-25 lead with 1:55 to go on a three by Prestianne.
- Lisanti would answer with a triple of her own 22 seconds later to give the hosts a 28-27 lead and that would be the halftime score.
- Washington scored six straight points late in the third quarter to take a 41-38 lead with 29.3 seconds left on a pair of
Emma Robinson free throws. The visitors took a 41-40 lead into the final stanza.
- Ursinus trailed 54-49 with 4:58 left in the fourth quarter when it scored nine of the next 10 points to take a 58-55 lead with 44 seconds left on a Lisanti layup.
- Prestianne was fouled with 23 seconds left and canned two free throws to trim the lead to 58-57.
- The Bears missed two foul shots two seconds later and Washington got the rebound after the ball went out of bounds off of an Ursinus player.
- Pluta was fouled with 5.7 ticks left and drained both foul shots to give WC a 59-58. The Shorewomen did not permit a final shot attempt from the Bears and came away with the win.

- WC shot 40% from the floor (20-for-50), 63% from three-point range (5-for-8) and 82% (14-for-17) from the foul line in the game.
- The Shorewomen turned it over 17 times, while winning the rebounding battle, 35-34.
- WC outscored Ursinus in points in the paint, 22-16, points off turnovers, 16-12, and second chance points, 6-4.

- Ursinus had 17 turnovers in the game and scored five of the game's seven transition points. The hosts held a 14-7 advantage in bench points.

- It was Washington's second one-point win in CC play this season, earning a 53-52 win over Franklin & Marshall on November 19.
- The largest lead for the Shorewomen in the game was five points and the biggest lead for the Bears was six points.
- Prestianne's prior career-best was 23 points in a 66-49 win over Gettysburg on December 3.
