Balliet Scores on Tackney Helper

CARLISLE, Pa. – Host Dickinson scored two first half goals to take a 2-0 halftime lead and it would stand up in a 2-1 win over visiting Washington College on Saturday afternoon at Biddle Field Complex.  The Red Devils are now 6-6 overall and 4-2 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen are 7-6 and 3-3 respectively.

How It Happened
- Dickinson took a 1-0 lead 4:10 into the first quarter when Ella Krezner scored from Maggie Carson, capping off a sequence that started from a penalty corner.  Krezner scored from about six yards out on the left side.
- In the second quarter, Melena Malka Goldman would record when would be the game-winning goal for the Red Devils with 11:27 to go before halftime as she scored after she grabbed the rebound of an Abby Marthins shot and scored from about 12 yards out.
- The Shorewomen got onto the board with 7:02 left in the fourth quarter as Alexis Tackney made a pass from the top of the circle to Brynn Balliet on the left side and Balliet scored from about eight yards out to get Washington onto the board cut the Red Devils' lead to 2-1.   
- Balliet's goal was the last shot of the game for either side and Dickinson would hold on for the one-goal win.

For The Shorewomen (7-6, 3-3 CC)
- Scorers: Balliet (goal), Tackney (assist)
- Goalkeeper: Charlotte Schurman (3 saves, 2 goals allowed, 60:00)
- Washington had three shots and one penalty corner in the contest.

For Dickinson (6-6, 4-2 CC)
- Scorers: Goldman (goal), Krezner (goal), Carson (assist)
- Goalkeeper: Taylor Schlein (0 saves, 0 goals allowed, 30:00), Olivia Renault (0 saves, 1 goal allowed, 30:00)  
- The Red Devils had seven shots and four penalty corners in the game.

- Balliet has scored in two straight games for WC.
