Hunter Clark (Sparrows Point, Md./Sparrows Point) of trap and skeet and men's soccer player
Ben Strine (Hockessin, Del./Salesianum School) share this week's Shoreman of the Week honor. Clark won HOA (High Over All) at the Battle of the Bay on Sunday, while Strine scored twice for the Shoremen in their win at Gettysburg on Saturday night.
Clark was the top individual in Trap (43 targets hit) and Doubles Trap (44) and placed second in the Skeet (46) and Doubles Skeet (43) at the Battle of the Bay for a total of 176 targets hit out of 200. He helped WCTS win the Battle of the Bay by 16 points over Navy (770-754).
Ben Strine scored two goals in a span of 1:51 in the Shoremen's 3-0 win at Gettysburg to keep the Shoremen unbeaten (5-0-1) in Centennial play. He scored the winning goal at 24:12 of the first half on an unassisted tally and then made it 2-0 at 26:03 on a feed from
Katim Njie. It was the team's first victory at Gettysburg since 1959 and just third overall in 22 trips.
This is Strine's fourth career and Clark's second career Shoreman of the Week honor.
