How It Happened
- Ben Strine had the first shot of the evening with an effort from distance that was saved by Hopkins goalie Drew Valsamedis. Washington continued to keep the ball in the Hopkins half during the opening fifteen minutes. Hopkins began to get some control of the ball and made it count in the 21st minute of the match as Will Andrus found Ian Whamond in the penalty area. Whamond controlled and fired an effort into the back of Pinto's goal for a 1-0 lead. Washington almost responded immediately as Harrison Malone's flicked effort hit the crossbar. That would be the final opportunity of the half as Hopkins led 1-0 at the break.

-Neither team could create any clear-cut chances in the first twenty minutes of the second half as only one effort was on target. In the 74th minute, Hopkins put together a move that ended with a goal by Griffin Meyer to make it 2-0 Blue Jays.
