CARLISLE, Pa. – Washington College volleyball traveled to Dickinson Saturday for a Centennial Conference match with the host Red Devils. The Shorewomen started the match by taking six of seven points in set one, but Dickinson rallied with a run to take the opener. The hosts continued their improved play into sets two and three to take the match.  Â

How it Happened:

-Washington opened up with six of the first seven points before Dickinson responded to take a 10-8 lead. The Shorewomen battle back to even the set up at 11 before the Red Devils opened up a five-point lead at 17-12. Washington got back into the set at with a 4-1 run but could never tie it back up as Dickinson went up 1-0 with a 25-20 win.Â

-Dickinson continued their play to take a 10-5 lead in set two. The Shorewomen were never able to bring it within two points as Dickinson ran away with a 25-14 advantage in the set.Â

-The hosts jumped out to another quick lead in set three before the Shorewomen battled back. Dickinson led 19-12 before Washington rattled off six of seven to bring it within two. Dickinson answered, scoring five of six to take set three and the match.Â
