CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Washington College volleyball played host to the Bryn Mawr Owls Wednesday night in a critical Centennial Conference matchup for the Shorewomen. Washington needed a victory to keep pace in the race for the Centennial Tournament and they got just that with a dominant sweep victory.   Â

How it Happened:

-Washington opened up the match with a 7-1 run to take control of the first set. The Owls cut the Washington lead to 9-4 before the Shorewomen rattled off seven straight points to take a commanding 17-4 lead. Washington continued that pace to take the first set 25-9.Â

-Set two saw Washington jump out to another early lead. The Owls were able to string together a few points in the second set. Up 16-11, Washington used an 8-1 run to put the set out of reach before taking it 25-13.Â

-The Owls fought until the end in set three, defending five straight match points before an attack error gave Washington set three and the match.Â
