ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Washington College volleyball traveled north to take on Muhlenberg in a Centennial Conference matchup. The Shorewomen needed a victory to keep pace in the race for Centennial playoffs as they set on the outside looking in. Washington responded well in set two after the Mules took the opener. With the match square at one, Muhlenberg got out to a huge lead in set three and never looked back. They did the same in set four as they took the match three sets to one.

How it Happened:
 
-It was an even start to the match as the two teams split the first 26 points for a 13-13 tie. The Mules then scored four in a row to build a small cushion in the opening set. The Mules kept that same pace for the rest of the set to take a 1-0 lead. 
 
-Washington started the second set on the front foot, building a 10-6 lead. The Shorewomen continued the start to an 18-13 lead before the Mules clawed back into the set. A 7-1 run gave them a 20-19 lead in the frame. Washington responded with a 6-2 run to close out the set and even the match. 
 
-Set three was all Muhlenberg as they opened up a 14-2 lead. The teams split up the points for the rest of the set as the Mules went up 2-1. The Mules the started set four with a similar 14-5 run. They continued to own the set, taking it by a score of 25-18.
