BALTIMORE, Md. – Washington College women's soccer traveled to Baltimore to take on the #7 Johns Hopkins Blue Jays in a Centennial Conference matchup.  The Shorewomen defense held strong in the first half, keeping it scoreless despite 11 attempts by Hopkins. Despite the Shorewomen effort on defense, the Blue Jays first attack of the second half produced a Lily Gaston goal to give them the lead. Hopkins continued to push goals tacked on two more in quick succession to win the match 3-0.Â

How It Happened
- Hopkins spent most of the first half on the front foot as they attempted 11 shots with three on target. Shoremen keeper
Hailey Sharpe managed to keep the score line 0-0 into halftime with three saves.Â

-Â Hopkins was finally able to make an effort count just two minutes into the second half. The Jays got the ball in the box where Lily Gaston was on hand to score and give them a 1-0 lead. The pressure from Hopkins continued and produced another goal through Katie Sullivan in the 68
th minute of the match to make the score 2-0. Around a minute later, Charlotte Tapp made it 3-0 for the Jays.Â
