WESTMINSTER, Md. – Washington College volleyball traveled to McDaniel Wednesday night to battle the Green Terror in a Centennial Conference matchup. The Shorewomen started fast on the road, taking early leads in all three sets. After wrapping up set one quickly, Washington fought off McDaniel in sets two and three to get a road sweep.

How it Happened:
 
-The Shorewomen started fast on the road, taking seven of the first nine points. The Terror responded with a run to pull within one but the Shorewomen with a 9-4 run to take a commanding lead. Washington killed off the first set with four straight points. 
 
-Both teams split the first sixteen points in set two evenly. Washington then took control of the set with an 8-2 run. McDaniel was able to bring the set within two at 17-15 but the Shorewomen responded with a 4-1 run to regain control and take the set. 
 
-Washington took command of set three with a 10-4 run at the start. The Shorewomen kept their distance in the set until McDaniel stormed back to take a 20-19 lead. Washington then took the next two points to regain control. After a timeout, the Shorewomen jumped out to a 24-20 lead. McDaniel defended two match points, prompting Washington to call time. Out of the timeout, Sylvia Johnson got the kill to end the match.
