CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Washington College men's basketball played host to the Gallaudet Bison in the 2023-2024 home opener on Finnegan Court inside Penny J. Fall Gymnasium. Ten minutes into the first half, Washington led just 16-15. From that point on, it was all Shoremen as they closed the half on a 26-4 run to take a commanding 42-19 halftime lead. How It Happened
- Both teams traded baskets early as the Bison knocked down open looks to stay in the game during the first ten minutes. Up one, Washington got a spark from
Paul Rodolf as they junior went on a 9-0 run by himself. The rest of the Shoremen started to join in as Washington closed the opening half on a 26-4 run to take a commanding lead.
-The Shoremen continued to shoot the ball well during the opening ten minutes of the second half, building a lead of 29 points on a few separate occasions. Washington managed the game out in the end, cruising to a 22-point home win.Â
For The Shoremen (2-0)
- Rodolf led the Shoremen with 17 points.
Kedrick Frink was the only other Shoremen to hit double figures with 16.
- WC shot 55.6% from the floor (30-for-54), 53.8% from three-point range (7-for-13) and 71.4% (5-for-7) from the foul line in the game.
For Gallaudet (0-3)Â
- Micha Henry lead the Seahawks in scoring, finishing with 21 points.  Â
- The Bison shot 39.5% from the floor (17-for-43), 47.1% from three-point land (8-for-17) and 66.7% from the foul stripe (8-for-12).Â
