CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Washington College men's basketball played host to Shenandoah in a non-conference matchup. The Shoremen started solid defensively in the opening ten minutes but fell behind after the visiting Hornets made some open looks. The Shoremen offense was stifled by the Hornets for most of the afternoon. Shenandoah built up a double-digit lead before the half and maintained it throughout the rest of the contest for a road victory. Â

How It Happened
- After an 8-8 start to the game, Shenandoah was able to get the offense in groove about halfway through the opening period. The Hornet's defense held Washington scoreless for just over a seven-minute period in the first half, allowing the visitors to hold a 16-10 advantage. A 14-8 run by Shenandoah to end the half gave the Hornets a 30-18 lead.Â
-Shenandoah continued their better offensive play into the second half, opening the half with a 30-12 run to give them the largest lead of the game at 60-30. They would manage out the rest of the game for a 19-point win.Â

Kedrick Frink led the Shoremen with 17 points and eight rebounds. Frink was the lone Shoremen in double figures.Â
- WC shot 40.4% from the floor (21-for-52), 28.6% from three-point range (4-for-14) and 50% (3-for-6) from the foul line in the game.
For Shenandoah (3-0)Â
- Davion Roberts led the Hornets with 14 points and seven assists. Jaylen Williams also hit double figures with 13 points.    Â
- The Hornets shot 44.6% from the floor (25-for-56), 31.8% from three-point land (7-for-22) and 68.8% from the foul stripe (11-for-16).Â
