HAVERFORD, Pa. – Host Haverford used a 15-0 run in the second half to take the lead for the rest of the game on its way to a 68-53 win over visiting Washington College on Tuesday night at Gooding Arena in the Centennial Conference men's basketball opener for both teams. The Fords improve 3-2 overall, while the Shoremen are 2-3.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen jumped out to an 11-3 lead with 13:32 left in the first half on a
Paul Rodolf layup.Â
- Haverford answered with a 19-7 run to take a 22-18 advantage with 4:57 remaining in the stanza on a
Nick Klaiber four-point play.
- Washington close out the opening 20 minutes with eight of the final 12 points to draw even with the Fords at halftime, 26-26.
- After the Shoremen scored the first three points of the second half to lead 29-26 with 19:10 to go in the game on a
Kedrick Frink free throw, the Fords scored 15 unanswered points to take the lead for the remainder of the game.Â
Gaven Marr put Haverford ahead for good with 16:35 left on a three-pointer to make it 30-29 and
Gabriel Franklin converted a layup with 12:01 to go to give the hosts a 41-29 cushion.

Zack Skrocki would cap a 13-4 run for the Shoremen on a lay-in with 8:24 to go to trim the lead to 45-42.
- Haverford would answer with a 12-2 spurt to take a 57-44 lead with 4:17 left on a
Logan Brown bucket.
- The Shoremen scored the next seven points to cut the lead to 57-51 with 3:07 to go on a Frink layup, but the Fords would not let WC draw any closer and finished the game on a 11-2 run to provide the final margin.

- Haverford outscored WC in second chance points (6-5), bench points (41-3) and points off turnovers (18-6).
- The Fords had 12 turnovers in the contest and held a 31-29 advantage on the boards.

- Frink had his second 23-point outing in the last three games. He totaled 23 at Bryn Athyn last Thursday.
