CHESTEROWN, Md. – Visiting Gettysburg topped host Washington College, 69-57, in a Centennial Conference women's basketball matchup at Penny J Fall Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon. The Bullets improve to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in the Centennial, while the Shorewomen fall to 3-3 and 1-2 respectively.

How it Happened
- The Bullets jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter with 7:26 to go in the first on a
Mackenzie Szlosek basket before the Shorewomen answered with seven points of their own to tie the game at 7-7 with 4:53 remaining on a
Peyton Berger three-pointer.Â
- Gettysburg scored the final 10 points of the first to lead 17-7 after one as a three-pointer by
Alanya Arnolie with 3:02 left put the visitors ahead for good. Â
- Washington College rallied at the end of the second quarter to cut the deficit to three off a pair of late jumpshots from
Abby Meridith as Gettysburg led 23-20 at the break. The Shorewomen held a 13-6 edge in the second.
- The Bullets outscored the Shorewomen in the third quarter 28-11 to lead 51-31 after three quarters, but WC outscored the visitors in the final quarter 26-18 to provide the final margin. Â
