DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – Host Delaware Valley overcame a 19-point first half deficit to rally past visiting Washington College 61-59 on Saturday afternoon at James Work Gymnasium in non-conference men's basketball action. The Aggies are now 5-3 on the season, while the Shoremen drop to 3-6.

How It Happened
- The Shoremen raced out to a 9-2 lead just 4:02 into the first half on a jumper by
Kedrick Frink.

Sam Corrao gave Washington its biggest lead of the game at 31-12 with 3:04 to go in the opening half on a three-pointer.
- Delaware Valley though would close the half on a 10-1 run to trim the lead to 32-22 at halftime following two free throws by
Godly Marc with two seconds left.
- Washington would take a 46-31 lead with 11:34 left in the second half following a three-pointer by
Precieux Tshibangu.
- The Aggies would respond with a 17-2 run to tie the game, 48-48, with 8:05 remaining on a triple by Marc.

Davis Bland would cap a 6-1 response by the Shoremen to put the guests ahead 54-49 with 6:34 to go on a three before Antonio Redding's jumper with 3:34 remaining leveled the game at 54-54.
- Redding would give Delaware Valley its first lead of the game with 1:14 left on a three that gave the hosts a 59-57 lead.
- Leading 59-58, Redding made two fouls shots to push the lead to 61-58 with 12 ticks left.

Zack Skrocki was fouled with one second left and after making the first free throw, missed the second intentionally and the ball went out of bounds off of the Shoremen.
- On the ensuing inbounds pass, the Aggies threw it away and the Shoremen got one final chance with eight-tenths of a second left. The Shoremen attempted a lob pass, but the tip-in was off the mark and the Aggies held on for the win.
For The Shoremen (3-6)
- Bland (career-best and game-high 18 points),
Paul Rodolf (11 points and three assists), Frink (game-best 10 rebounds), Tshibangu (four blocks), Skrocki (two steals)
- The Shoremen shot 41% (20-for-49) from the floor, 41% (9-for-22) from three-point range and 57% (8-for-14) from the foul line.
- Washington outscored the Aggies in second chance points (9-5) and bench points (20-16).
- The Shoremen had 18 turnovers, while outrebounding the hosts 38-33
For Delaware Valley (5-3)
- Marc (13 points and two steals),
Rasheem Dearry (13 points),
Jordan Gombs (nine rebounds and two steals), Redding (four assists),
Zoelin Pair (two blocks)
- The Aggies shot 39% (22-for-57) from the field, 27% (7-for-26) from three and 77% (10-for-13) from the free throw line.
- Delaware Valley outscored WC in points in the paint (30-16), points off turnovers (14-8) and transition points (5-2).
- The Aggies had 10 turnovers in the contest.
Notes
- The two teams were meeting for the first time since a 98-76 WC win in the 1983-84 season as the two teams met every season between 1966-67 and 1983-84. Washington now leads the all-time series 11-8.
