HAVERFORD, Pa. – Visiting Washington College outscored host Haverford 25-6 in the second to turn a 21-19 halftime deficit into a 44-27 win on Saturday afternoon at Gooding Arena in Centennial Conference women's basketball action. The 27 points allowed is the fewest allowed by either side in the 59 all-time meetings and a season low allowed by WC. The Shorewomen improved to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in the Centennial, while the Fords are now 3-5 overall and 1-4 in the Centennial respectively.

How It Happened
- The Fords jumped out to a 9-4 lead with 2:46 to go in the first quarter on a Shae Mercer three-pointer before the Shorewomen got the last four of the stanza to cut the lead to 9-8 after one with
Peyton Berger canning a jumper with 54 seconds to go to cap the first quarter scoring.
- In the second quarter, Mercer gave Haverford a 21-17 edge with 1:13 to go on a pair from the foul line before
Kaitlyn Boggs scored on a layup with 30 seconds to go to cut the lead to 21-19 at halftime.

Audrey Jakway gave the Fords a 25-23 lead on a lay-in with 2:22 to go in the third before the Shorewomen scored the last six points to lead 29-25 after three. Berger's jumper in the paint with 40 seconds left in the quarter put the Shorewomen ahead for good at 27-25.
- In the fourth quarter, Washington outscored Haverford 15-2 to win going away. The Shorewomen scored the first 10 points of the fourth to lead 39-25 on two free throws by
Kaleigh White with 4:40 left. Abby Ryan had the lone points for the Fords in the fourth with 2:31 to go on a jumper.
- Following Jakway's basket to make it 25-23, WC outscored Haverford the rest of the contest, 21-2.
