#10 Swarthmore Downs Washington, 86-56

Frink Scores Team-High 16 Points

SWARTHMORE, Pa. – Host #10 Swarthmore had four players score in double figures in an 86-56 win over visiting Washington College at Tarble Pavilion in a Centennial Conference men's basketball game on Wednesday night.  The Garnet improves to 18-2 overall and 12-1 in the Centennial, while the Shoremen fall to 2-17 and 1-12 respectively.

How It Happened
- Jason Zielinski put Washington ahead 12-10 on a layup with 13:42 left in the first half before Swarthmore went on an 11-2 run to take a 21-14 lead with 9:56 to go in the half on a Vinny DeAngelo lay-in.
- Leading 25-19 with 5:15 to go Michael Caprise started an 8-1 spurt in 1:12 with a traditional three-point play to make it 28-19 and Cal Hanson drained a three-pointer to cap the run and make it 33-20.
- The Garnet took a 42-25 lead into the halftime break.
- In the second half, Swarthmore outscored Washington, 44-31.  The lead fluctuated between 15 and 33 points. 

For The Shoremen (2-17, 1-12 CC)
- Kedrick Frink (16 points), Ryan Lang (five rebounds and three assists), Davis Bland and Nick Romeo (two steals)
- Washington shot 37% (19-for-51) from the floor, 29% from three-point range (5-for-17) and 72% from the foul stripe (13-for-18).
- The Shoremen had 15 turnovers in the game.

For #10 Swarthmore (18-2, 12-1 CC)
- DeAngelo (game-bests of 17 points and seven assists), Colin Shaw (14 points and three steals), Caprise (11 points), George Visconti (10 points), George Corzine (11 rebounds)
- The Garnet shot 53% (34-for-64) from the field, 43% (12-for-28) from beyond the arc and 75% (6-for-8) from the free throw line.
- Swarthmore outrebounded Washington 42-24 and outscored the guests in second-chance points (14-8), points in the paint (40-22), points off of turnovers (26-14), bench points (31-21) and fast-break points (9-1).
- The Garnet had 14 turnovers.
