How It Happened
- Washington seniors
Andrea Prestianne (Sr./Kennett Square, Pa.) and
Lizzie Huddock (Sr./Salem, N.J.)combined for the first points of the game when Prestianne found a driving Huddock for a lay-in. A few possessions later, Prestianne hit a triple to give Washington a 10-3 lead. Ursinus came back late in the first when Natalie Mehl and Alyssa Martin hit back-to-back triples, cutting the lead to 14-11 at the end of the period.
-The Shorewomen turned up the heat on defense in the second period, holding the Bears to just six points. A
Serea Pluta (Jr./Townsend, Del.) and-one finish put the Shorewomen up eight before the half. The two teams would trade baskets in the final minutes as Washington held a 25-17 halftime lead.
- It as more of the same in the third as Washington held the Bears to eight points and entered the fourth period up 35-25. The Shorewomen managed the game until Kelly Grant hit two quick threes for the Bears, cutting the lead to 43-41 with 30 seconds remaining. Ursinus sent
Andrea Prestianne to the line twice with the senior hitting three of four. That proved to be enough as Ursinus failed to score again, giving Washington a much needed 46-41 win on senior day.
For The Shorewomen (13-11, 9-10 CC)

Andrea Prestianne led the Shorewomen with 14 points on 4-for-10 shooting. The Senior hit all three of Washington's shots from deep and added five assists. Lizzie Huddock added eight points and four boards.
Serena Pluta finished with seven points and seven boards off of the bench.
- Washington shot 30.9% from the floor (17-for-55), 25% from three (3-for-12) and 69.2% from the free-throw line (9-for-13).
- Washington scored 20 points off of Ursinus' 26 turnovers.
For Ursinus (9-14, 6-11 CC)
- Natalie Mehl led the Bears with 13 points and Kelly Grant added 10. Both hit three tripled for the Bears. Chinwe Irondi added six points and ten rebounds.
- The Bears shot 34% from the floor (16-for-47), 30.4% from three (7-for-23) and 20% from the foul line (2-for-10).
