CHESTERTOWN, Md. – The Washington College women's basketball team were looking to stop a two-game skid as they played host to McDaniel on Tuesday night inside Penny J. Fall Gymnasium. The Green Terror started well as both teams traded points in the opening five minutes. McDaniel took control from there with a 17-4 run that went deep into the second period. Washington kept pace in the second half but could not cut the McDaniel lead to lower than nine as the Green Terror controlled the final frame en route to a 64-48 road win. Washington falls to 12-10 on the season and 8-9 in Centennial conference play.Â

How It Happened
- Trailing 14-12 late in the first period, McDaniel found some points inside through Mallory Conroy to spark a 6-0 run and end the first period up by four.Â
-McDaniel's hot finish carried over to the second quarter as they used a 17-4 run to jump out to a 29-15 lead. The Shorewomen started to get back into a rhythm before the break after back-to-backÂ

(So./Severna Park, Md.)Â and-one finish brought the McDaniel lead down to seven with 30 seconds remaining in the half. The Terror responded with a Liliana Overcash three-pointer to head into half up 38-28.Â
- The third quarter was the lowest scoring quarter of the contest but McDaniel still outscored the Shorewomen to build the lead up to 13 heading into the fourth. Trying to make a push,
Joy Sanders capped a 6-0 run to bring Washington within nine at the midway point of the fourth. McDaniel responded with a 10-3 run themselves to wrap up a 64-48 win.Â

- Washington shot 33.3% from the floor (16-for-48), 25% from three (3-for-12) and 86.7% from the free-throw line (13-for-15).Â

- Mallory Conroy lead the way for the Terror with 23 points and eight rebounds. Conroy shot a perfect 7-for-7 form the foul line. Julia Ryan added 11 through a game-high three three-pointers. Elaina Beckett chipped in with a double-double, racking up 10 points and 11 boards. Â
- The Green Terror shot 38.2% from the floor (21-for-55), 22.2% from three (4-for-18) and 90% from the foul line (18-for-20).
- McDaniel outscored Washington in the paint 20-10 and in second chance points 19-4.  Â
