CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Host Washington College never trailed on its way to recording a 14-6 win over visiting Mary Washington on Sunday afternoon on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in non-conference men's lacrosse action. The Shoremen are now 5-2 on the year, while the Eagles are 4-5.

How It Happened
- Washington scored the game's first three goals with
Caden Hallinan giving the hosts a 3-0 lead on a feed from
Logan Clefisch with 4:02 to go in the first quarter as the Shoremen led 4-1 after one.
- The Eagles scored the first two goals of the second quarter to trim the lead to 4-3 with 3:21 to go on a Carter Lynch score.
- That's as close as Mary Washington would get as the Shoremen closed out the stanza with a pair of goals to take a 6-3 halftime lead.
Ewan Temple scored from
Mac Hale with 55 seconds left and
Luke Brennan scored from
Kain Domenech with three ticks left to give the hosts a three-goal advantage at intermission.
- In the third quarter, the Shoremen scored the first three to take a 9-3 lead as Hale scored from b to cap a 5-0 run spanning the second and third stanzas.
- Mary Washington would score two in 13 seconds to trim the 9-5 lead with 5:10 left on a
Dave Votapek score from
Keller Dillman and it capped the third quarter scoring.

Trevor Ivatts scored a man-up goal 22 seconds into the fourth to ignite a 5-0 run that saw the hosts take a 14-5 lead with 2:25 left on a
Luke Phillips score.

Jake Furman scored the last goal of the game for the guests to round out the scoring with 72 seconds to go.
