CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Senior attackman
Ewan Temple (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) reached the 100-career point plateau and scored a career-high six goals to lead all players as host Washington College tallied a 22-11 win over visiting Oberlin on Wednesday night on Kibler Field at Roy Kirby Jr. Stadium in non-conference men's lacrosse action. The Shoremen are now 6-2 on the year, while the Yeomen are 4-3.

How It Happened
- After Temple scored the opening goal of the game, Oberlin scored the last three goals of the first quarter to take a 3-1 lead as
Max Cha give the Yeomen a two-goal lead with 2:30 remaining.
- Temple would net his milestone point 20 seconds into the second quarter to cut the lead to 3-2 as it ignited an 8-1 second quarter for the Shoremen.
Ben Dickinson would put WC ahead for good, 4-3, with 9:49 left on an unassisted tally and 13 ticks later Temple made it 5-3 on a pass from
Gabe Velasquez after Velasquez won the face-off.

Niko Maheras would trim the lead to 5-4 on a man-up goal from Cha with 6:31 to go in the second before the Shoremen scored three times in 38 seconds to lead 8-4 on a
Luke Brennan score.

Connor Garrison netted the assist on final goal of the eight-goal second for WC with Temple scoring with 20 ticks left as the hosts lead 9-4 at halftime.
- In the third quarter, the Shoremen scored the first three to take a 12-4 lead as Garrison scored unassisted to cap a 7-0 run spanning the second and third stanzas.
- Oberlin would score the next two to reduce the lead to 12-6 with 6:09 left in the third on a Jacob Starcke score goal from
Michael Muldoon.
- Washington would score the final three of the third to take a 15-6 advantage into the fourth as Brennan scored from
Logan Clefisch with 11 ticks to go.
- The Shoremen scored the first two of the fourth and outscored the Yeomen 7-5 in the quarter to provide the final margin.

- Prior to Temple, who now has 104 career points on 67 goals and 37 assists, the last Shoreman to reach 100 career points was
Cooper Sloan '20 who achieved it on March 24, 2019 at #10 Dickinson.
- Oberlin is coached by
Ryan Polak, a 2014 Washington College graduate who played three seasons for the Shoremen and was part of three NCAA Tournament teams and the 2014 squad that won the Centennial Conference.
- Tonight was the first ever meeting between the Shoremen and Yeomen in men's lacrosse.
- Washington tied its season-best in goals scored as it also netted 22 at Widener on March 4.
